Each strong rare-earth magnet has a peel-and-stick coating with high tack that sticks to any dry, clear surface. Even though the magnets are extremely powerful, the adhesive’s direct-pull resistance is even greater, so a tool attached to the magnet will disengage before the magnet can be removed from the wall.

The four bigger sizes use a foam-backed adhesive that adapts well to minor surface irregularities, while the 1/4″ circle size uses a thin film adhesive that adheres best to flat surfaces.

As they are only about 3/64″ to 4/64″ thick, or about the width of a quarter, the low-profile discs contribute very little offset and are simple to place in a shallow counterbore for flush-mount uses. The adhesive on a magnet makes it easy to stick the magnet to a surface. However, the most common inquiry is which polarity is required for my application. The rule is that if you plan to use these peel and stick magnets to attract to a steel surface, you can simply select no preference; however, if you plan to use these magnets to attract to each other, you must select half of your order to be north pole and the other half to be south pole; if you plan to use this magnet to attract to your own magnet, you must select the opposite pole to match them up.
